Easter Services

Who is Jesus? Who can he be for you?

Over five Sundays, we will explore Jesus and his significance for us and the difference faith in his death and resurrection makes. Join us and ask the questions you have always wanted to ask. In the Gospels, Jesus asks, “Who do you say I am?” Our Lent Study this year is a chance to ask the question and find an answer.

Interactive Family service

Almost Like Church is our family oriented service where we pray, listen to scripture, reflect on what we hear, sing, do some activities and have Holy Communion. We learn together as we enjoy the company of God and each other. We enjoyed the final session for 2025 but Almost Like Church will be back in 2026. And we will be returning to our original time of 9.30am on a Sunday morning. More information soon.

Easter Services

It’s Beautiful Inside and Outside.

Surrounded by beauty, the interior of St Columba’s offers those who visit a space of sanctuary and spiritual presence. An oasis of retreat from a busy life and the world outside. Come and enjoy the experience anytime you see that ‘church open’ sign outside the church on Cross Road.

Columba Playtime

A small structured playgroup for children from birth to school age and their carers. Held during term time on Friday 10 – 11.30 am in the Parish Centre, St Columba’s Anglican Church, 3 Rosevear Street, Hawthorn.  A great opportunity to interact with your child, meet other parents/grandparents/carers and help your child learn new skills. We have a theme for each term and a different topic each week.  The morning begins with free play, then we come together for circle time with songs, a short video clip, a story and a game before having morning tea, a craft activity and more free play. We then come back together for our Goodbye Song and a sticker.

Join us for our weekly Bible study

Studying scripture adds to the Christian life. Join us any Friday as we look a little deeper at the Sunday readings. Join us weekly or come and give the study a try. Best to check the calendar of events below to make sure we are meeting the day you wish to come – we miss a couple of Fridays a year.

Parishioners at St Columba's Annual Fete.

5The St Columba’s Annual Fete

Our annual fete is a popular attraction in the calendar of the local community. An array of stalls from food, gifts, clothing, trash and treasure and more brings people together, allows easy sale and purchase of second-hand goods, with the proceeds funding many of our mission activities like Anglicare SA, Schools Ministry Group, and the Newton College Appeal. In 2025 the fete will be held on Saturday, October 11.

If you would like to volunteer at the fete please contact the parish office.
